The Chancellor announced a second cut to national insurance this year in last week’s Spring Budget.
From 6th April 2024, employee national insurance for all monthly earnings between £1048 and £4189 will decrease from 10% (the first reduced amount announced in January 2024) to 8% as announced last week.
Employee national insurance on monthly earnings above £4189 will remain at 2%.
Employer national insurance remains at 13.8% on all monthly earnings above £758
